Frida Rivero

This event is designed to create a space for shared memory, emotion, and transformation. It’s not just storytelling; it’s a collective, intimate journey. .I don’t just read my stories; I invite you to live them with me. Through a carefully designed sensorial journey, I blend magical realism, social observation, and deeply personal storytelling to engage the audience with the story through sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The audience will be surrounded by curated visuals, music, aromas, and textures surrounding a general introduction to all the book and the themes of a specific short story —from migration and identity to womanhood, memory, and rebirth—. This experience is born from my immersive book “Midnight Reflections: My Other Selves and Their Tales”, my debut collection of fictional short stories.

Through the voices of my heteronyms—the ballerina, the lawyer, the traveller, the invisible (the mother), the depressive, and more—I open a space where literature becomes a physical and emotional event. Whether the attendees come as a reader, listener, or seeker, I invite them to step into the midnight and feel what a story can truly become reality.

Frida’s ‘Midnight Reflections: My Other Selves and Their Tales’:

Have you ever felt like you’ve lived more than one life?

Like there are versions of you that only exist in certain moments, in certain places, with certain people, and yet they are all, somehow, you.

What if those lives could speak?

This book begins there.

Each story is told by a different version of the same woman, not separate characters, but fragments of a single life, a single mind. Different voices, different moments, different ways of seeing the same self.

Some feel close. Some feel distant. And yet all of them leave something behind.

The stories are short, but stay. They shift depending on how you enter them.

This is an immersive work by design. Through music, images, and QR-accessible audio, each story opens beyond the page, changing in tone, in rhythm, in feeling as you engage with it.

You don’t just follow what happens.
You feel it unfolding.

Across the collection, you move through different spaces, some grounded, some imagined, where identity, memory, and experience blur into each other.

It’s a book about selves.
The ones we show, the ones we carry, and the ones we don’t always name..
