Comedy writer Nat will be interviewing various authors on Saturday 14th November 2026 and she will also be co-hosting the Inspiration and Creation event at Blandford Town Museum on Sunday 15th November 2026.
About the author
Born in London in the seventies, I grew up in West Norwood where I spent many an hour watching Laurel and Hardy reruns with my dad who would be crying with laughter. I laughed at my dad laughing. It was this early introduction to comedy and the way it made people feel, that got me hooked. Couple that with watching the works of John Sullivan, Roy Clarke, and Jimmy Perry with my family, that gentle, harmless comedy appealed to me. So, aged eight, I started writing. Firstly, Paddington Bear stories, rewriting them, making them funny, I’d record them onto an old tape machine. I continued writing throughout my teens, however, as it wasn’t considered a viable career I started to write behind closed doors, not venturing out until I was well into my forties, finally writing scripts and living in Dorset.

Late Bloomer (2025)

Late Bloomer is a short Rom Com film created for the Fordingbridge 48 hour film challenge. Co written and directed alongside D J Roberts the film centres on Bob, a widower looking for love. Ideally he hankers after Grace, a gardener he met in the graveyard, first though he has to endure the village speedy dating night, and all that it brings!
