Blandford Literary Festival is, as you know, a fairly new festival on the block. We try to support new, emerging writers as well as established ones, and provide a variety of talks, workshops and family events to suit as many people as we can. We have some free events (all family events are free plus two adult events) and prices are low on all others.
The event is a Community Interest Company run and organised entirely by volunteers who give up their time for nothing to create websites, designs and spread the word. But we do have to pay for venues, publicity and of course provide fees to authors. In future, it would help us to create more free events.
We know that times are hard at the moment, and we also know that you might not be able to attend the festival but would like to support it. If so – you can donate to our Go Fund Me page – no amount is too small – we appreciate every penny.
This money will help us to keep the festival running and cover any costs not covered by ticket sales.
